Marjorie Ann "Marge" (Gates) Clark

Marjorie Ann “Marge” Clark, 77, of Chase, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2024, at Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons. She was born January 26, 1947, in Chase, the daughter of Junior LeRoy and Goldie M. (Gillespie) Gates. Marge was a lifelong Chase resident. She graduated from Chase High School with the class of 1965. Marge was a nurse aide at the Hospital District #1 of Rice County for twenty-five years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, sightseeing, and vacationing with her family. Marge also loved going to the mountains in Colorado, four wheeling, and spending time with her family. On August 6, 1965, Marge was united in marriage with Billy R. “Bill” Clark, in Chase. She is survived by her husband, Bill of Chase, KS; son, Scott Clark and wife Paula of Chase, KS; daughter, Wendy Gilmore of Chase, KS; sister, Judy Wilcox of Chase, KS; ten grandchildren, Justin, Jayme, Joey, Ben, Stephanie, Billy, Brendon, Sean, Michael, and Kaytlynn; many great-grandchildren; uncle, Curt Gillespie and wife Hughlene of Chase; and aunt, Ottavia Ludwick of Sterling, KS. Marge was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammy Renee Linke; sister, Janet Foulger; and many other loved ones. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Community Presbyterian Church, Chase, with Zach Ullom officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. The family suggests memorials be given to Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons to help offset funeral expenses.
